How long will a treatment last?Initial consultations can take between 1 – 1 ½ hours. Our therapists will take an in-depth history. Further sessions may take between 30 minutes and an hour.
Does my vet need to be informed?Yes, under the requirements of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, our therapists will ask you to inform your vet and will ask you to sign a form.
What do I need to do to prepare my horse for treatment?Please ensure your horse is clean and dry.
Will I need to have any information ready to show the therapist?Our therapists will ask you for recent health checks, such as when the dentist, farrier and vet last saw your horse, plus any other similar information e.g. when his saddle was last checked.
Will I need to ride?No, but please have your tack available to checked over.
I compete. Will Scenar help my horse?Scenar is used by athletes around the world to keep them in top condition. It will benefit your horse before and after competition.
Will I need to give my horse time off after treatment?We recommend you give your horse 1-2 days off. While this is a general guideline, every horse will react differently and as the owner, you will need to assess your horse’s recovery time.
Will Scenar help me as a rider/owner?Yes. All our Scenar therapists are trained to treat humans as well as horses.
Do you diagnose?No, under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 only qualified vets are allowed to diagnose any disease or illness.

Will my horse enjoy Scenar treatment?Every horse is different. Many will close their eyes, yawn, chew or lick; all signs of relaxation. Muscles too will relax.
Can my horse benefit from Scenar even if there is nothing wrong?Yes, Scenar helps to correct any acute and chronic problems your horse may have. It is also a great way to prevent such issues from developing.
My horse has to have box rest, would he benefit from Scenar?Yes, Scenar will stimulate all the body’s systems to stay in working order, such as helping the body’s natural immune system to repair or similarly, assisting the lymphatic system, which could be be affected in such circumstances by a build up of toxins, due to lack of movement.
Will my horse react after his/her treatment?All horses are individual, however you may find your horse will feel energetic and playful or sometimes, they can be a little tired after treatment; perhaps drinking a lot, urinating more and some are a little stiff.
